INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

I am all about Female Empowerment, so to celebrate International Women's Day
I thought it would great to feature some of the wonderful women that I know, love and admire.
To give you the maximum insight into what motivates and inspires these wonderful women I have given each of them a 60 second interview...

By Charlotte Gorse.

Who are your female icons and why:
Angela Carter: her creative imagination and insight in questioning fairy tales and the stories we tell about women

Louise Bourgeois: her pioneering views on the sensual & sexual woman in 20th century art

What advice would you give to anyone wanting to start their own business or secure their dream job?
Don't tell yourself, you can't do it
Take a risk throw yourself in, feet first.
Don't try to do it all (home, work, love) at once, keep at it bit by bit, have stamina for the long game

How do you stay motivated?
Through seeing the results
Through seeing myself surprising myself

How will you be celebrating International Women's Day?
Watching the stories of much better women than me!

60 Second Interview with ZAZEL FRANCIS

Name: Zazel Francis
Company name: WebsXtra, Creative Web Company; Kaiz Agency
Job Title: Creative Director
Website: www.websxtra.co.uk | www.creativewebcompany.com | www.kaizagency.com

Who are your female icons and why?

I do not have any particular female icons, but most women on

"The Worlds 100 Most Powerful Women" Forbes list are good to research and gain inspiration from.

What advice would you give to anyone wanting to start their own business or secure their dream job?

Read the Four Hour Work Week book by Timothy Ferris, learn to use your time effectively and you can get more done and faster. Google the 80/20 principle and see how this can improve your life. Life is too short, do not dwell, have fun and be happy!

How do you stay motivated?
Well I think if you want something in life then you need to do something about it - simple
equation:

EFFORT = REWARD.

Set some goals and work towards them. I think if people have problems staying motivated then they may need to rethink what they are doing and what they really want in life. A good tip is to surround yourself by motivated and positive people as this often rubs off on you.

How will you be celebrating International Women's Day?
At home with my family :)

Who are your female icons and why:
Simone Ten Hompel for her skill, knowledge and the integrity she has in her work, my mother for her wisdom, other bright and shining women too numerous to mention.

What advice would you give to anyone wanting to start their own business or secure their dream job?
It's worth taking risks to do what you want to do - but remember to have a life as well! Balance in all things - including balance!

How do you stay motivated?
Being stubborn, determined and loving what I do.
