INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY: Part 2

I am all about Female Empowerment, so to celebrate International Women's Day
I thought it would great to feature some of the wonderful women that I know, love and admire.
To give you the maximum insight into what motivates and inspires these wonderful women I have given each of them a 60 second interview...

60 Second Interview with PRIYA SONN

Name: Priya Sonn
Company name: Endorse Agency
Job Title: CEO
Website: www.endorseagency.com

Who are your female icons and why:
I am surrounded by amazing women on a daily basis, for me a celebrity can work hard to become a success but is then given a team of individuals to manage and uphold that success for them. As amazing as this is, I prefer to look up to the people I work with, these women for me are true inspirations.

What advice would you give to anyone wanting to start their own business or secure their dream job?
The sky is the limit,
if you don't fulfill your dream someone else will hire you to fulfill theirs. Starting your own business is extremely hard work but perseverance and dedication almost always guarantees success, just know that a business will not bloom and be successful over night it is an entity that needs nurturing.

How do you stay motivated?
It's extremely hard to stay motivated I wont lie, I have to really sit down and get my priorities straight sometimes and think hard about why I am doing what I am and imagine reaping the rewards in the future.

How will you be celebrating International Women's Day?

I will be celebrating by doing what I do best working towards my future :)

60 Second Interview with ANGELA GATES

Name:
Angela Gates
Company name: Angela Gates Stylist
Job Title: Wardrobe Stylist/Fashion Stylist
Website: www.agatesstylist.com

Stylist: Angela Gates | Photographer Aubrey Fagon | Jewellery Elisha Francis London

Who are your female icons and why:

I love Audrey Hepburn as she was always so elegant and dignified and did a lot for

Save The Children.  But on the other hand I feel quite empowered and inspired by women who aren’t afraid to stand up for they believe in.  Anita Roddick really led the way for non-animal tested and fair trade cosmetics when she started The Body Shop.

What advice would you give to anyone wanting to start their own business or secure their dream job?
Do your research - find out as much as you can about the industry, what’s really involved in the job. It’s good to get some work experience so contact people you admire who are doing the job you desire and offer to volunteer for a while in return for advice and guidance.
This way you get an idea of what the job is really like.
And get some savings behind you before you start or better still if you start whilst you’re still employed you’ll have a bit of money to live on until your business starts making money.

How do you stay motivated?
I try to envision the finished shoot that I’m currently working on for short term motivation.
It will never be as I see it in my mind if I don’t put in the graft.

How will you be celebrating International Women's Day?
I will be working most of the day but then I will be spending the evening with the most important women in my life - my mum, my sister and my daughter.

60 Second Interview with NAKI KADDU

Name: Naki Kaddu
Company name: Kizmet Designer Jewellery
Job Title: Designer/Founder

Coco Chanel: She had vision, style, passion and an amazing spirit for life.

What advice would you give to anyone wanting to start their own business or secure their dream job:
Believe in your abilities and vision. Have a plan and set achievable goals. Identify what you can do differently and stand by it. Be true to yourself.

How do you stay motivated:
I visualise where I want to be in the future and take responsibility of making things happen. I set achievable goals and each completed project is a milestone, in the right direction - it's most rewarding.

How will you be celebrating International Women's Day:
I will be supporting another friend Eiks, launch her EP. She too is implementing her dreams as a singer song writer. She left a day to fulfill her passion in music. I couldn't be more proud of her!!

60 Second Interview with CHANTEL WEDDERBURN

Name: Chantel Wedderburn
Company Name: Best of Both Boutique
Job Title: Boutique Owner
Website: www.bestofbothboutique.co.uk

Who are your female icons and why:
I don't have any specific 'famous' female icons, I am inspired by all women who are strong, assertive and passionate about life. They tend to be confident and have a positive outlook on life and the challenges it brings, always ready to learn and pass on knowledge and generally a 'Go-Getter' kind of mentality. I especially love seeing women who are successful in business or high positioned careers, as this can be very challenging, in any climate, especially when trying to find a work/home life balance.

What advice would you give to anyone wanting to start their own business or secure their dream job?
I believe the best advice would be 'There's no such thing as 'Perfect' timing' avoid spending too much time and energy focusing on the negatives or reasons why you shouldn't start your own business or apply for that dream job. If anything use the things that say 'you cant' to motivate and push you to prove otherwise.
Have faith and confidence in your skill set and what you are trying to achieve, take steps everyday to accomplish your goal and be patient, because nothing worthwhile will come easy and its a process, learn as much as you can through this process and remember to keep a good attitude despite any mistakes, setbacks and shut doors, because this will ultimately determine whether you're ready for success.

How do you stay motivated?
Being in business by myself can be very challenging and isolating at times, every decision and action I take can either bring great results or none. I find what motivates me the most is reminding myself of why I started this business in the 1st place, and trusting that all my effort, hard work and sacrifices will eventually pay off. I'm always open to trying new ideas and have the attitude of 'Forever Learning' because in business as well as in life there's always room for growth.
I always try to give my best, as I believe what I plant now, I will harvest later!!

How will you be celebrating International Women's Day?
In Celebration of 'International Women's Day' and throughout the month of March, 'Best of Both Boutique' has teamed up with Stylist and Fashion Designer of 'Divine Couture' to offer every woman a free personal styling session.

I would like to give a special thanks to:
